Support UsThank you for your stewardship in building God's Kingdom through COTHA. Your gift will be used to reach others for Christ and to make disciples. For those of you that have not experienced the blessings of stewardship, give it a try. You can not out give God. (Malachi 3:10)
We are currently in the process of developing our 2010 operating budget. We will be collecting pledge cards on Sunday, November 1, 2009, during the worship services. For your convenience, we also have a pledge form below with which you can submit your pledge online.
Legacy of Love - Capital CampaignLegacy of Love is the third capital campaign in COTHA’s history. Our first, No Greater Love, was conducted in 2000 and funded the original building construction. Our second, The Love Grows, was conducted in 2003 and funded an expansion of the building. Plans were to conduct another campaign in 2007 but were shelved as we changed rectors. Both campaigns comprised 3-year pledges as does the Legacy of Love.
Legacy of Love Objectives
The primary objective of the Legacy of Love Campaign is to reduce our building debt of 3.1 million. Elimination of the mortgage will free up $300,000 from the operating budget that has been spent to pay the mortgage since 2006. This money will be used for new staff to support our Family, Youth Discipleship, Worship Arts, Adult Discipleship, and Church Operations ministries.
In addition to reducing our building budget, we would like to procure and install a new, state-of-the art audio/visual system, procure and install a new electronic sign on the Grand Parkway, completely repair roof damage from Hurricane Ike, install new landscaping and upgrade our kitchen facilities.
Submit a Pledge
The Legacy of Love capital campaign is for three years beginning in 2009 and ending in 2012. Please use the below form to submit your total three year pledge. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Matthews.
Other ways to financially support Church of the Holy ApostlesSTOCK DONATIONS Contributing to COTHA through transfers of stock may provide you with two tax advantages. As with any donation, you may be able to take a charitable deduction for the value of the stock on the day you donate it. In addition, if the stock has appreciated in value you may not need to report that increase in value as capital gains income provided you donate the stock directly to COTHA rather than selling it and donating the proceeds. Of course you will need to consult your own tax advisor for the applicability of these advantages to your own situation. Transferring stock to COTHA COTHA has an account with the stockbroker listed below. Please note that stock gifted to COTHA is sold immediately upon receipt. The value of the donation is taken as the midpoint of the high and low prices of the stock on the day that it transfers into COTHA's account. The accounting department will calculate this for you and provide you with the appropriate documentation of the value of the donation. Stock may be transferred into COTHA account either electronically or by certificate.
Electronic Transfer A donor may have stock transferred electronically by giving their broker the information below. Click here for a sample letter.
Stock Certificate Transfer A donor may give stock certificates to the Church by taking the certificates to the broker and signing them over to the Church using the account information given below.
