Rest and Respite

This monthly service, is unique, marked with candles, quietness, and prayerful ministry. In a world flooded with escalating change and unpredictable events, the Rest and Respite Service will provide breathing room by fostering an environment where people can be spiritually nurtured in the ways of the Lord. The service will include solitude, ancient prayers, instrumental music, stations of ministry, and the sacrament of Communion. Unction may also be received at this service. Holy Unction is the age-old rite where the priest uses holy oil to make the sign of the cross on an individual’s forehead, blessing the Lord for their spiritual, emotional, or physical healing. Many who have received this “holy unction” have expressed a profound awareness of God’s presence and been encouraged to press on in their faith.
